Hi Jander
What do you need to know?

The Bimota YB3 were a rolling chassis kit. Designed by Massimo Tamburini, with assistance Giuseppe Morri at Bimota.
Frame, yokes, handle bars, forks, wheels, brakes, Fuel Tank, and bodywork.
You then bought a Yamaha TZ 250 or 350 and fitted the engine, exhaust ect and a few other parts to build the bike.

Jon Ekerold, (South Africa) is one of the few racers in the modern era to have won a world championship as a privateer without the benefit of a motorcycle manufacturer's support when he defeated Kawasaki factory racing team rider Anton Mang for the 1980 350cc Grand Prix road racing world championship.[1] Ekerold rode a self-modified Yamaha TZ350 engine in a Bimota chassis during his championship season

Hope that helps

I an very sorry but I dont speak any Italian, so have to use Google translate to use the forum but its a very good website, so thank you so much for replying in english.

No apology necessary !
Thank you for the explination

I restored the 250 in 2019 and the 350 this year.
No, the forks are standard from new as both Bimota bikes were stored from July 1980 !
so they didnt do many races, and these are now just Parade lap bikes, so the forks dont really need to be modified as they dont get raced.
I have only replaced the fork seals and oil thats all in both the Marzochi and Yamaha forks, as they are like new.

I restored the 250 (my bike) in 2019 and the 350 (my friends bike) this year.
Obviously both engines were full rebuilt, wheels crack tested ect
I made new fiberglass bodwork from molds that I made from the original fairings and seat unit, also made new Carbon/Kevlar fuel tanks, with molds I made from original Fiberglass tanks as the tanks had gone soft over the years and didnt want to use either of them. (This is my day job so quite easy for me).

Do the bikes run on premix or they have an oil pump?

Do you need to coat the inside of the carbon/kevlar tank?

Thanks
